About us - history of the company

Since February 1st 2006 the company Otto Kuhlmann Automotive System-Parts GmbH has an "affiliated company": The company Otto Kuhlmann Langelsheim OKL GmbH was created.
It starts the follow-up of the company Boettcher GmbH www.boettcher-draht.de, which was situated in the insolvency proceedings since 2004. The Boettcher company was established as manufacturers of bent-wire parts and stampings for 50 years at the market. The production of laser-welded clamping and insert rings is of special interest for the automobile suppliers.
The company Otto Kuhlmann Langelsheim OKL GmbH is managed by the proven team of the company Otto Kuhlmann Automotive System-Parts GmbH and it's website is available under the following address: www.okl-gmbh.de.

The company Otto Kuhlmann Automotive System-Parts GmbH has been established. Now this new company is going to be engaged in the manufacture of cable beads for all types of tyres, solid wire rings, and crimp rings for rolling lobe air springs as well.

The company initiates the production of crimp rings for rolling lobe air springs which provides for suspension systems of driver seats for automobiles and truck cabs.

The company begins producing solid wire rings for use in industrial tyres, airsprings, compensators and other technical rubber products.

The company automatizes production of some dimensions of single-layer round cable beads employing fully- automatic winding machines designed and constructed by Otto Kuhlmann.

The company liquidates the cold- rolling mill to concentrate its efforts in the production of single bead rings for bicycle tyres and a new product line, round cable beads for truck tyres and special tyres for different range of use: e.g. high speed tyres, tyres for earth moving vehicles, racing-car tyres, motor cycle racing course tyres, air-plane tyres.
At this time, manual production of single wire bead rings for bicycle
tyres is supplanted by the manufacture of these rings on fully-automatic
machines which were designed and constructed at Otto Kuhlmann.
Lateron one starts selling these machines to european and asiatic
countries.

Mr. Martin Kuhlmann, as a sucessor to his father Otto Kuhlmann (see picture on the left), takes the reins of the firm at a time of rapid grouth of the company's business.
